Windsurfing and Kite Surfing - Tarifa is the windsurfing capital of Europe. There are expansive golden beaches to the north of the town such as: Playa de los Lances and Playa Valdevaqueros are ideal for these sports: Windsurfing and Kite Surfing. Club Mistral at the Hurricane Hotel and Hotel Valdequeros at Playa Valdequeros are considered as surf centers.
Horseback Riding
Horses can be taken into service for a fee. You can have them ride up on the mountains or along the beaches from the Hipo Center at the Hurricane Hotel or right from the stables to be found along the side road to Punta Palona.
Whale-watching
An astonishing opportunity to get a close look at the different sea mammals, specifically the gigantic whales and the cute dolphins, in their natural habitat. The Foundation For Information And Research On Marine Mammals otherwise known as FIRMM, takes tours out into the Gibraltar Straits.
