Barbate has a magnificent promenade in which you can stroll for almost 2 km especially from the River Barbate to the Marina and even beyond. The town s main beach is called the Playa del Carmen and it is very popular among tourists. However, it also has some several beaches that contrast to the beaches of commercial value. These beaches are located under the cliffs around the north of the fishing port including the Marina that are quite deserted and peaceful even in the height of the busy summer season. Going on to the south of the River Barbate estuary you can find the beaches of Playa del Botero which can stretch for miles.
