San Roque is a quaint little town and municipality that is located in the south of Spain and is part of the province of Cádiz. It is also part of the Andalusia region and is rather on a privileged position, that of having the best of both worlds. San Roque offers you a lot of choices for having fun -- you can opt for a dramatic and wide open Atlantic beach that is any wind surfer's paradise, or choose the tranquility and peace of Mediterranean coves.
The town has a total surface of 140 km and is at 109 metres over sea level. It has a population of 24,800 as of 2004 and has been known to be a historical and attractive town. It has a traditional center with sites and monuments as well as surrounded by modern buildings with outskirts of quality residential developments and some individual houses. The town is distinguished by whiteness and is on an almost circular hill surrounded by mountains and the valley of rivers Guadiaro and Guadarranque. From here there is a god view of the Algeciras Bay. The main economic activities of the people here are tourism and manufacturing. Its climate is sunny and dry which is softened down by the typical Mediterranean breeze.
