Lepe

Lepe is a small Spanish market town that is situated in the province of west Huelva. You can get there by taking the route along the N431 to Portugal, in the autonomous community of Andalusia somewhere in the Southern Europe. This small town is situated near the Portuguese border. Its actual location is within the coordinates of +37.2600000 latitude and -7.2000000 longitude with UTC +1 hour as its time zone. Its has a population of not less than 22,700 inhabitants, but unfortunately its inhabitants are best known for being the object of hundreds of common Spanish jokes. These jokes, more often than not, are attributed to the people s seeming lack of common sense.

However, the town of Lepe itself is more well-known as the strawberry capital of Spain , much like the French do with the Belgians. It produces a humungous amount of strawberries year in and year out. It has also has few out of the ordinary features and an amusing central square. Among other things, it is also a useful place to visit if you re planning to stock up on some provisions. The town has a seemingly disproportionate number of hardware shops and mechanical workshops that serve well the barest requirements of the farming community.
