Chipiona

Chipiona is an old tradition town with a seaside resort found at the later end of the 20 th century. There are four wide beaches here with clear seawater that is rich in iodine. These beaches are the "La Ballena", "Regla", "Tres Piedras" and "Cruz del Mar" which are equipped with tourist infrastructure.

Chipiona is in the far west of the province near the river Guadalquivir . The name Chipiona belongs to the lighthouse here as the Romans name it Turris Caepionis.

The town is one of the most popular resorts in the province and is a fertile plain with greenhouses for the production of cutflowers and other garden produce. Its coast stretches for seven miles with superb beaches with good service.

Geared for the perfect summer, Chipiona has tons of bars, cafés, restaurants and leisure attractions especially around the beaches that also provide entertainment until the early hours in the morning. Local festivals here include: Romeria del Pinar (June), La Velada de Nuestra Senora de Regla (September) and the Carnival de Chipiona (February) where people dress up and enjoy throughout the night and the day.
